We are very excited to announce our Emerging project, which will give eight talented young acts (aged 16-25) in Brighton and the South of England the opportunity to rehearse, record and release their music via our studio, label and PR set-up.

The scheme, which has been awarded funding from Arts Council England, focuses on giving promising artists the opportunity to experience all stages in the production and promotion of a record. The process will culminate in the pressing and distribution of a compilation album on 12-inch vinyl, and digital platforms, for an October 2019 release. The record will feature a track from each of the acts selected.

Along with a tailor-made marketing and PR campaign for the release, you will receive support and industry guidance in the form of workshops, pre-production meetings and mentoring throughout the process. Each act will receive an allocation of the finished vinyl to sell as merchandise and get you on the way to earning an income from your music.

Bands or artists who wish to apply should fill out the following application criteria, as well as supplying a streamable demo (of their best track), before the closing date of 24th June.

The final selection of eight acts will then head into the studio with one of our professional engineers for pre-production and recording.

Applicants must be able to get to Brighton for the pre-production and recording sessions between 7th July and 5th August (exact dates to be arranged)

Reflecting the eclectic and exciting range of genres that we love working with, all styles of music will be considered for this project – from electronic pop to alt-rock to experimental prog and everything in between – so don’t be put off if your music is weird and wonderful.

We can’t wait to hear the Emerging applications, and begin the process of unearthing, spotlighting and nurturing some new gems from the future of the music scene.
